James Blake - A Case of You

Just before our love got lost you said
I am as constant as a northern star
And I said, constant in the darkness
Wheres that at?
If you want me Ill be in the bar

On the back of a cartoon coaster
In the blue tv screen light
I drew a map of canada
Oh canada
And your face sketched on it twice

Oh you are in my blood like holy wine
Oh and you taste so bitter but you taste so sweet
Oh I could drink a case of you
I could drink a case of you darling
And I would still be on my feet
Oh Id still be on my feet

Oh I am a lonely painter
I live in a box of paints
Im frightened by the devil
And Im drawn to those ones that aint afraid
I remember that time that you told me, you said
Love is touching souls
Surely you touched mine
Cause part of you pours out of me
In these lines from time to time

Oh you are in my blood like holy wine
And you taste so bitter but you taste so sweet
Oh I could drink a case of you
I could drink a case of you darling
Still Id be on my feet
And still be on my feet

I met a woman
She had a mouth like yours
She knew your life
She knew your devils and your deeds
And she said
Color go to him, stay with him if you can
Oh but be prepared to bleed
Oh but you are in my blood youre my holy wine
Oh and you taste so bitter, bitter and so sweet
Oh I could drink a case of you darling
Still Id be on my feet
Id still be on my feet

Fading Hopes

If I asked you for good news … would you smile and walk away
Pretending that what I said was irrelevant to you in any way at all
Just letting me stand there staring at your back as you say nothing
Would you look past me and help these fading dreams of mine
For the fire that burns inside me is quietly drawing itself to a close
For my youth is running out and Life is not making it any easier
Don’t just stand there as I chase these Dreams that are too high
Look upon my soul and come to my rescue, for it’s the right thing
For today, I am in need of thy help, the morrow; you never know

See how life is slipping ... gradually from my grip into oblivion
Am finding it very hard to breathe, with fire burning down on me
As my heart cracks into a zillion bits with no Ray of Hope in Sight
This is like a bad dream and I am too scared to wake up and run
Would you be that special one among the many that I might know
That would make that little difference and put me back in Shape
For this; is the solemn request that I have put to thee in need
That it might be well and all that are around my humble vain soul
That my thousand dreams might be fulfilled in the hope of glory

Life Just A Stage

Life has become nothing but a solo Stage
A place where we come, Perform and Hope
Where Humans Audition and people gather
To see him that has passed in tears of Joy
And he whom, that failed also with tears

The way has been set from the creation of life
Oh what a wonderful stage, where lights beam!
And Men lose their Voices, Faith and Courage
As the crowd watches and waits for its time
Brutally condemning and praising everyone

A Stage that doesn’t go down with time and Age
To those who have been there ‘Our Fathers past’
Some in glory, others in shame; yet, both eternal
Both wishing, they knew better, when it mattered
To those who are yet to come, the future; ‘Unborn’

We Hope that when you arrive, you might learn
From the mistakes we making right now ‘We today’
The Stage has been Set, as we climb up one by one
Many times not even aware of the shape we in
Or the problems that might arise from our now

In our ability to perform great and create ‘A fame’
Or the problems of us being booed downwards
For we got up and froze, mouth open, nothing said
Where some were and shown bright as Stars
And others afraid to even climb up the podium

It’s my turn to climb, this undying Stage of Life
My hands are shaking and my head spins over
Blood pumping, heartbeat racing exponentially
Oh! Where am I; I forgot, am already on Stage
From the day I was born Crying as a Child!!!

Baby you have got me all twisted in you

When I look back at my life
Many times I don’t know why
What made you choose me girl?
Cause I never had the “ego”
But you stayed with me in all
Throughout all the pains of life

Now that I am on the top of life
I want to spend my days with you
Since you had stayed with me
And smoking with me the ‘garri’
That time wey I no get the money
Now I want you to be my ‘wifey’

Cause you are the one that I see
In all that we’ve been through
How can I show you, what you mean
To this big heart of mine, but this;
That Baby girl I’ve got faith in you
And in everything we do is perfect

Baby, this ‘pepper’ is meant for you
What else would I need them for?
But to show you the whole world
Just say a place and we go there in time
Cause Baby you’ve got me soul up
Twisted all over your soul and heart

You know that I Love you honey
Everything you do ‘trips’ me down
Now that the situation is turned around
I know that you don’t need my money
But I have to spend it on you my baby
Cause you are my princes, my queen
My Baby Mama, Mama of my boys

You are the only one that I trust with life
If I become blind, I know you’ll be there
That’s how much I trust you my baby
Cause you’ve got me all around you
I’ll stay with you for you stayed with me
‘I no dey fear anything, if you dey with me’
For with you, my liver ‘dey’ full ground

Baby I’ll cut my beating heart, just for you
For I know, that you would keep it safe
That’s how much I trust you with it
Cos you’ve got me twisted in the game
You know that I would never leave you
No matter the situation, I am here
For I no dey go anywhere ‘at-all at-all’

You are the pump in my heartbeat
The reason why blood dey always flow
I no fit leave you cause you’ve got me
I’ll never stop loving you, even tomorrow
Cause I would be there, one day more
I’ll follow you, till the end of the world
For you are the only one that has the light
That light that shines the path to my future

You know that I would always follow you
Yes, you would always be in my heart
You know that you have the key to me
Anytime you lock the door it’s locked
No one can come in, if you don’t open it
Baby you’ve got me all twisted in you
I’ll stay with you, till the end of my days
Baby you have got me till the end of life

Africa; the Land of the Largest Black Race

Africa; my Africa, the land of largest Black Race
My People, what has thou done unto thyself
Thou hast let the killing of innocent blood flow
And has given Genocide the ability to decide
The fate of Racial Discriminations, in our division
Oh Africa; the land of my beloved Black Angels
A Land filled with never ending troubles and pains
Conflicts, here and there, without hope of Tranquility
Neither do they who should care, bother at all
My People, the ones whose blood flows in my veins
And cause my heart to beat, without stopping
Restlessly, I pray for a solution to our problems
Yes; they are massive, backbreaking without joy
My Africa, My People, when shall we stand up
To defend that which is right and noble in truth
Ignoring it no more, that everlasting peace might reign
And the children unborn might breathe Freedom
Free to Roam and Soar high like Eagles in the Sun
My Continent, I have loved thee since day one
And would keep loving you, even unto the grave
For you are my soul and the reason why it beats
Africa, My Home; the Land of the Black and Proud Race

I Have Got What You Need Right Here

Your body can’t lie to me, even though you try
When you say that you don’t need my touch; you do
I can see the desire of my hands on your skin
You know that, I have the remedy that you need
I am better than all those drugs and hash, you take
My touches are magical, and they’ve got healing
The very kind that is only meant your own soul
I don’t want to give it to another; you know
That I am always what I am, I can’t change it

I am a very compassionate love maker; uhm
I can take you to the seventh heaven; red hot
And you would feel the stars all over your skin
You should come in here to me, so that I can
Make you feel so hot that you would burn all night!
Cause I have the only remedy to heart and soul
The extreme love that you cannot get any were else
So come on here, let’s do this till the sun comes up

You know that I have got the magic stick here
It’s erect, strong and powerful for this journey
While you are so wet and so hot, damn, uhhh
I can feel the heat between your legs; callin me soul
I want go inside there, like a hot knife in butter
Checking all the places, looking all the curves
Making sure, that I fill all….the entire space
Leaving nothing to chance, nor for someone else
Cos I would be so greedy, devouring the …uumm
I would making it strong, in all the styles ever
That you have only dreamed off, uhm damn!

My head is going in a big bang bang boom uhh
I see myself grinding and winding the ‘V’ spot
With you screaming, don’t stop now, keep going
With the bed singing to the sound of my push-ups
You can hear the squeaky noise its making
Because I am firing down the throttle to the end
Straight up on gear 5, 160 – 180, cruising hot

Two hours gone by now, I am still pumping uhm…
No signs of slowing down, not even for a break
I hear the liquid coming down from inside me
Like a truck that failed its air-pumped brakes
I can’t hold myself now, they need to gush out
Inside the place without mercy, here they come
Like how the rivers empty themselves in the ocean
So are my boys emptying themselves in grand style

The room is soaked, cos our bodies are dripping wet
Like we came out of the shower without drying up
The room is looking all turned up like a war zone
Cos we did it everywhere, table, chair, floor, bed
We can stop now, to get that pauza you wanted
For it’s time to get some food and water; because
Sooner or later, we would start the second round.

My Childhood Dreams

When I was small, I used to think about life
My Dreams to catch and my heart its base
She told me that I could always be that man
Only if I would give my heart its dreams
So I chased the dreams of my childhood joy
As the years passed me by and I grew older
So I drifted from one place to another in hope
I jumped the rivers, and climbed my mountains
Yet when I looked, it seemed that my dreams
Where further than I had imagined in time
My eyes shone like the stars of the night crying
As I searched the heavens for a way in my desert
For every path, looked the same and identical
I could not understand how I got so lost
With no compass to guide me, in life’s journey
Here in this unchartered waters I roamed
Aimlessly seeking hope and destination
Broken down with time and numberless day
I wonder if my childhood dreams can be real
I have loaded my life, with its promise of joy
I have seen the things, which life can offer me
Now that I have known better, in my heart
I have come to realize; it’s just a waste of time
Its starring at the mirror hopping it would change
For my dreams are never meant to be caught
Or else, they wouldn’t be called ‘my dreams’.
